Before October Begins

Tomorrow, October in the House of Wright begins.

I’ve been thinking about the two sides of my writing that you’ll see this month. My poetry asks readers to sit with feelings that can be difficult to say out loud. My horror asks what happens when something frightening enters a world that feels familiar. I care about both because I care about what people do when they’re afraid, hurting, hoping, or trying to survive.

During October, I’ll take you behind the books a little more. We’ll celebrate The Scars Nobody Sees on October 10, talk about #MyDeath, and have some fun with creepy questions as Halloween gets closer.

I’m also still working on Millions Watching. I’ll share news about its release when the book is ready.

For now, I want to know what you’re most excited to read here this month. Would you choose a personal post about writing, a look inside one of my books, or something spooky?
